Inspector General of Police Sindh, Jehangir Mirza has directed the CCPO Karachi, RPOs Hyderabad and Sukkur to take foolproof security measures regarding 'Yom-e-Hussain.'
He has also directed to make special arrangements for the security of mosques, Imam Bargahs and other places to avert any untoward happening. Inspector General asked the senior police officers to ensure protection to the participants and speakers of the congregations besides deploying police volunteers on such places keeping constant contact with the organisers of such events.
Women police personnel should also be deployed along with the volunteers at places of women gatherings in this regard. Sindh Police spokesman appealed to the masses to be vigilant and in case of any suspicious activity, inform Madadgar 15, concerned police stations or the TPOs.
